Meet The Team
Zainab Jishi, MS, PA-C
Zainab is native to the metro-Detroit area and has lived here all her life. She is a mother of 3, wife and PA, in that order. She has a very family-oriented lifestyle which is often experienced by her patients as she does treat everyone she encounters as family. She very frequently tells her patients, “if it is not something I would do to myself or family, I will not offer it to you or anyone else.” She is very critical with just about everything she is involved in which makes her very analytical about details prior to forming plans or opinions. She is a straight shooter, unable to “sugar coat” so you can rest assured you will always get an honest opinion from her. She feels impeccable communication is an absolute must when involving patient care, especially when involving elective aesthetic goals. She recognizes that patients have a choice about where to go to seek their services and she is humbled by every single individual who entrusts their goals to her.
At an early age, Zainab began her undergraduate academic career at the University of Michigan – Dearborn while still enrolled as a high-school student. Upon formal initiation of her undergraduate career she was accepted to the University of Michigan – Dearborn with a University issued full-tuition scholarship. In 2005 she graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, minoring in Psychology as well as a B.A. in Hispanic Studies in Spanish with a minor in Philosophy. Throughout her life she never really envisioned herself in a career outside of medicine. Although she tends to find something she enjoys in just about everything; the interaction between health, pathophysiology and human nature is where her true love lies. She loves interacting with people from all walks of life, as she believes that each personal interaction is a lesson of some sort and that it adds a jewel to your own character. Shortly after graduating, she got married in 2005, not realizing that she would eventually become an integral part of her husbands profession.
After getting married, she helped her husband establish his private practice in Plastic Surgery. A challenging role however very fruitful. Very quickly she realized that her attention to detail, appreciation of balance and honest nature were a perfect compliment to the industry. After having established a robust practice and moving into a larger space she redirected her focus back on her own academics. She attended the University of Detroit Mercy where she obtained her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies, Summa Cum Laude. Her intention while attending PA school was to always return to the Plastic Surgery setting to focus on Facial Aesthetics.
In the Plastic Surgery setting, Zainab focuses on Facial Aesthetics and Non-Surgical options for Body Contouring, Feminine health and Skin Rejuvenation. She is in constant competition with herself which keeps her at the forefront of her industry constantly seeking additional learning experiences both near and far. She prides herself on natural outcomes and although she respects every patients desires, she does not shy away from refusing to provide service if she does not feel expectations are either realistic or safe. In addition to the very extensive training obtained by her husband, a Double Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Zainab has been trained by global leaders in the injectable world. She has completed multiple Masters Injector trainings, cadaver labs, and remains active with ongoing changes in the injectable world. Her diverse training experiences lends her a unique perspective and comprehensive approach when planning treatments for each individual patient.

Alyssa Gates, MS, PA-C
Alyssa Gates is a Physician Assistant at A Fine Line Aesthetics, known for her meticulous and enthusiastic approach to enhancing her patients’ natural beauty. Committed to delivering comprehensive, personalized solutions for preventing and rejuvenating signs of aging, she strives for exceptional results in every patient interaction.
Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology with a specialization in Bioethics, Humanities, and Society from Michigan State University, graduating Cum Laude from the Honors College. She then completed her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Grand Valley State University and attained her NCCPA certification.
Her career began in Otolaryngology in Grand Rapids, where she developed a deep understanding of facial anatomy and the aging process. This experience led her to a role as a Surgical Physician Assistant in metro-Detroit, where she further honed her skills. Alyssa transitioned to aesthetic medicine under the mentorship of a cosmetic surgeon and later continued her development under the guidance of Zainab Jishi, PA-C.
She has enhanced her expertise through multiple filler AMI courses with Allergan Aesthetics and serves as a national clinical trainer for InMode, specializing in devices like Morpheus8, Lumecca IPL, FaceTite, and Evolve. Through her extensive training and mentorship, Alyssa provides thorough, personalized consultations and employs advanced techniques to achieve the natural-looking results that define A Fine Line Aesthetics.
Caina Schneider, Licensed Esthetician
Caina’s passion for making others feel confident and beautiful started at a young age. She always struggled with self confidence growing up but always helped others find their inner beauty and confidence. She was the go to person for skin care recommendations and make up application for all the school dances with her friends. Although she grew up in a conservative small town community she always loved learning about new skincare treatments especially medical grade. She knew that it was a lack of education and misunderstanding that made people fear the words “botox” , “lip injections” and other facial and body altering services that people often thought would make them appear “fake”.
In 2013, Caina was intrigued by the medical field and achieved her phlebotomy certification while attending University of Michigan-Flint for Nursing in 2013. Caina decided to put Nursing on hold for the time being but continued to expand on and apply her knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as medical terminology. In 2016, she decided to pursue an esthetics career, and started her journey at Douglas J Aveda institute in East Lansing promptly obtaining her license in April 2017. Caina started her career doing relaxation facials and full body waxing. She felt the need to be challenged and to have her knowledge tested and expanded. Caina started working in medical aesthetics in September 2017. In her short experience she thought most medical aesthetic businesses are all about sales that over promise and under deliver. She started searching for her “forever home,” a place where she could establish real relationships, provide legitimate education, and offer treatments with proven results and an abundance of happy patients. Caina found that at Celestial Institute of Plastic Surgery in June 2018. “They educate first and put the patient in the driver seat, and that is what I love about Celestial.”
Caina always continues to learn. She provides laser treatments, medical grade chemical peels, DermalInfusion, Thermi Smooth skin tightening, ThermiVa Vaginal rejuvenation, Vivace Microneedling and CoolSculpting. She attends educational seminars in regards to skincare and services several times a year to stay up to date. She attended CoolSculpting University in December 2018 to ensure that she was providing the best treatments possible for her body contouring clients. Caina’s favorite treatments to perform are DermalInfusions and CoolSculpting.
“I have the most rewarding and fulfilling job. I help women and men with their skin and body and it is truly humbling to have them pick me and trust me along their journey.” Some of the most humbling experiences I have had involve the patients who have decided to go to Esthetics school after experiencing me sharing my passion, knowledge and education while in the treatment room.” The most memorable thing for Caina was when a patient stated, “Caina saved my life and gave me my confidence back, I don’t have to worry about wearing make-up anymore or having someone make comments about how bad my skin looks, now I just receive compliments.” Click here to contact Caina.
Alyssa Link, Licensed Esthetician
Alyssa joined the AFLA family and brought with her the most radiant smile, a golden heart and a passion for excellence. Her commitment to learning and mastering her craft offers her patients comfort in knowing they are being cared for by someone who wants the outcome as much as they do.
Prior to making the professional commitment to esthetics, Alyssa explored other paths in life that simply did not offer her the satisfaction that she desired. She ultimately decided to pursue her passion in skin care, which stemmed from her love of making others feel beautiful in their own skin. Alyssa attended Marketti Academy of Cosmetology in Waterford, obtaining her Esthetics License in October 2022. She started her professional career performing facials, lashes and brows, but quickly realized she wanted to do more and challenge herself. She then took the next step of working and training in Medical Esthetics here at AFLA in February 2023, expanding her skills and knowledge.
Alyssa provides treatments that offer transformations in skin quality and health which include DiamondGlow Facials, Chemical Peels, Laser Peels, Vivace RF Microneedling, Laser Hair Removal, Coolsculpting, Emsculpt & Emsella. She also brought beauty services to AFLA, including Lash Lifts + Tints, Brow Tinting, Brow Laminations, and facial/body Waxing.

A Fine Line Aesthetics is expanding its team! We are a patient-centered, result oriented and growth focused group with a passion for education and constantly raising the bar. We aim to restore and maintain self confidence in those who seek our services. All of our products and services are backed by research and offer proven outcomes. Our specialty stems from plastic surgery therefore we have the luxury of being from the core of the aesthetics industry. As such, all expectations are higher and we must live up to them.
We are looking for our next 2 team members. These individuals will often times be the first impression of A Fine Line Aesthetics and therefore must represent our core values which ultimately stem from education and constant professional development ensuring safety and impeccable outcomes. The candidates will be self-motivated, individuals who take ownership, enjoy accountability, are flexible, innovative and team contributors. They enjoy being busy, able to multi-task and do so elegantly. They will be people who want feedback for self development and will want to take part, and take pride in, the overall growth of our entity. These individuals will look beyond their own job descriptions to help their team members when needed and will do so happily.
The ideal candidates will be impeccable communicators who are not easily intimidated by demands and are able to navigate different personalities without taking it personally or becoming emotionally distracted. They will enjoy taking care of themselves and representing themselves well on a regular basis. They will take every opportunity available to learn and better themselves and their skills. Individuals who can be flexible and creative in navigating potentially challenging situations and those who are able to put the needs of others before their own convenience. At A Fine Line Aesthetics we show up before opening time to ensure everyone is ready for a great day and lastly we ensure all needs are met before closing.
While we love to detail all the qualities of an ideal team member there are also some amazing people who may not be an ideal fit in our environment. Those individuals prefer working alone, may not like to offer flexibility in scheduling (to accommodate occasional after hour events, attending occasional local parties, manufacturer events, etc), have many personal commitments that may interfere with the work day. Individuals who don’t enjoy planning and attending events may not enjoy our type of work. Those who are not comfortable being flexible or require spelled out instructions of tasks may not enjoy the expectation of self guided responsibility. Individuals who simply want to show up and follow a check list will not thrive well in our fast paced, ever evolving environment.
A Fine Line Aesthetics is heavily involved in education in aesthetics as well. Our founder, Zainab Jishi, MS, PA-C is faculty of Allergan Medical Institute, the division of Allergan Aesthetics that is responsible for representing and training other medical professionals and how to perform aesthetic injectable treatments from the Allergan portfolio including Botox Cosmetic and the Juvederm family of fillers. Allergan Aesthetics is the largest manufacturer of aesthetic injectables in the world. In addition, Zainab is a Clinical Educator for the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy PA programs teaching PA students who are interested in the field of aesthetics through allowing them to complete their elective rotations with her.
Although some experience in aesthetics is preferred, it is not required. We believe if you are passionate, possess a strong work ethic and enjoy being part of an energetic team that shares a common vision then we will be able to provide you all the tools for success.
