Meet The Team
Zainab Jishi, MS, PA-C
Zainab Jishi, PA-C, is a Michigan-based aesthetic provider whose approach to facial injectables is grounded in structure, safety, and advanced clinical methodology. With a foundation in Plastic Surgery and years of hands-on experience, she has developed a reputation for delivering outcomes that are not only natural, but anatomically intentional.
Her work is heavily influenced by the principles of MD Codes—a globally recognized system that emphasizes treating the face as a whole rather than as isolated areas. This approach allows her to prioritize structural support, balance, and long-term outcomes over temporary or trend-driven results. Patients who work with Zainab quickly recognize that every treatment plan is built with precision, purpose, and a deep understanding of facial anatomy.
Known for her analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail, Zainab approaches each patient with the same standard she would apply to herself or her own family. She is direct, thoughtful, and highly selective in her recommendations—placing patient safety and realistic outcomes above all else. Her consultations are rooted in education, ensuring that every patient understands not just what is being done, but why.
Zainab’s academic background reflects the same level of discipline she brings to her clinical work. She began her studies early at the University of Michigan–Dearborn on a full-tuition scholarship, later earning dual degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish, with additional studies in Psychology and Philosophy. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a clear focus on returning to the field of Plastic Surgery.
Her career evolved within a high-volume Plastic Surgery practice, where she played an integral role in both its development and clinical expansion. Immersed in an environment centered on surgical aesthetics, she refined her eye for balance, proportion, and harmony—skills that now define her injectable work.
Zainab remains deeply committed to ongoing education and clinical advancement. She has completed extensive advanced trainings, including cadaver-based anatomy courses and master-level injector programs, continuously refining her technique to align with the most current and evidence-based practices in aesthetic medicine.
Today, her work spans facial aesthetics, non-surgical body contouring, skin rejuvenation, and feminine wellness. Across all areas, her philosophy remains the same: thoughtful planning, structural integrity, and results that enhance—never overpower—the natural features of each individual.

Maya Stander, Practice Manager
Maya is the Practice Manager at the clinic and the driving force behind its day-to-day operations, patient experience, and brand presence. From the moment you walk through the door to every interaction behind the scenes, Maya plays a central role in ensuring that every detail is executed seamlessly.
As the first face patients see, she sets the tone for the entire experience—welcoming, organized, and deeply attentive. Beyond the front desk, Maya oversees scheduling, patient coordination, and in-office flow, while also managing the clinic’s social media presence and curating patient-centered events that reflect the practice’s values and aesthetic vision.
Working closely alongside Zainab Jishi, Maya is also involved in assisting during advanced injectable treatments, including those guided by the principles of MD Codes. This hands-on exposure gives her a unique understanding of both the clinical and experiential sides of aesthetic medicine, allowing her to support patients with clarity and confidence at every stage of their journey.
Maya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University, a foundation that informs her detail-oriented and analytical approach to her role. She is known for her ability to anticipate needs, solve problems efficiently, and ensure that both patients and providers feel fully supported.
Whether coordinating care, managing the clinic’s presence, or assisting in treatment rooms, Maya is the point of connection for everything the practice offers. For patients and team members alike, she is the go-to resource—reliable, knowledgeable, and fully invested in delivering an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Japhia Kurikesu, MS, PA-C
Japhia is a certified Physician Assistant with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Michigan–Flint. She was first introduced to A Fine Line Aesthetics as a PA student during her clinical rotations with Zainab—and we knew right away she was someone special. Her natural eye, attention to detail, and passion for aesthetics stood out, and we couldn’t wait to bring her onto the AFLA team.
With a strong background in urgent care, Japhia brings advanced clinical judgment, procedural skill, and a patient-first mindset to her work. Over the past several months, she has been training intensively with both Alyssa and Zainab, focusing on mastering facial anatomy and the art of safe, natural-looking results.
Japhia currently specializes in Botox treatments and also leads our medical weight loss program, combining her clinical expertise with a compassionate, supportive approach to patient care. She is passionate about helping people feel their best—inside and out.
Outside of work, Japhia loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her dog. She’s also newly engaged and excitedly planning her wedding for next summer!
Caina Schneider, Licensed Esthetician
Caina’s passion for making others feel confident and beautiful started at a young age. She always struggled with self confidence growing up but always helped others find their inner beauty and confidence. She was the go to person for skin care recommendations and make up application for all the school dances with her friends. Although she grew up in a conservative small town community she always loved learning about new skincare treatments especially medical grade. She knew that it was a lack of education and misunderstanding that made people fear the words “botox” , “lip injections” and other facial and body altering services that people often thought would make them appear “fake”.
In 2013, Caina was intrigued by the medical field and achieved her phlebotomy certification while attending University of Michigan-Flint for Nursing in 2013. Caina decided to put Nursing on hold for the time being but continued to expand on and apply her knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as medical terminology. In 2016, she decided to pursue an esthetics career, and started her journey at Douglas J Aveda institute in East Lansing promptly obtaining her license in April 2017. Caina started her career doing relaxation facials and full body waxing. She felt the need to be challenged and to have her knowledge tested and expanded. Caina started working in medical aesthetics in September 2017. In her short experience she thought most medical aesthetic businesses are all about sales that over promise and under deliver. She started searching for her “forever home,” a place where she could establish real relationships, provide legitimate education, and offer treatments with proven results and an abundance of happy patients. Caina found that at Celestial Institute of Plastic Surgery in June 2018. “They educate first and put the patient in the driver seat, and that is what I love about Celestial.”
Caina always continues to learn. She provides laser treatments, medical grade chemical peels, DermalInfusion, Thermi Smooth skin tightening, ThermiVa Vaginal rejuvenation, Vivace Microneedling and CoolSculpting. She attends educational seminars in regards to skincare and services several times a year to stay up to date. She attended CoolSculpting University in December 2018 to ensure that she was providing the best treatments possible for her body contouring clients. Caina’s favorite treatments to perform are DermalInfusions and CoolSculpting.
“I have the most rewarding and fulfilling job. I help women and men with their skin and body and it is truly humbling to have them pick me and trust me along their journey.” Some of the most humbling experiences I have had involve the patients who have decided to go to Esthetics school after experiencing me sharing my passion, knowledge and education while in the treatment room.” The most memorable thing for Caina was when a patient stated, “Caina saved my life and gave me my confidence back, I don’t have to worry about wearing make-up anymore or having someone make comments about how bad my skin looks, now I just receive compliments.” Click here to contact Caina.
Alyssa Link, Licensed Esthetician
Alyssa joined the AFLA family and brought with her the most radiant smile, a golden heart and a passion for excellence. Her commitment to learning and mastering her craft offers her patients comfort in knowing they are being cared for by someone who wants the outcome as much as they do.
Prior to making the professional commitment to esthetics, Alyssa explored other paths in life that simply did not offer her the satisfaction that she desired. She ultimately decided to pursue her passion in skin care, which stemmed from her love of making others feel beautiful in their own skin. Alyssa attended Marketti Academy of Cosmetology in Waterford, obtaining her Esthetics License in October 2022. She started her professional career performing facials, lashes and brows, but quickly realized she wanted to do more and challenge herself. She then took the next step of working and training in Medical Esthetics here at AFLA in February 2023, expanding her skills and knowledge.
Alyssa provides treatments that offer transformations in skin quality and health which include Sciton Lasers (BBL, HALO, Contour TRL and ClearV), DiamondGlow Facials, Chemical Peels, Vivace RF Microneedling, Laser Hair Removal, Coolsculpting, Emsculpt & Emsella. She also brought beauty services to AFLA, including Lash Lifts + Tints, Brow Tinting, Brow Laminations, and facial/body Waxing.

Patient Care Coordinator
A Fine Line Aesthetics is expanding its team! We are a patient-centered, result oriented and growth focused group with a passion for education and constantly raising the bar. We aim to restore and maintain self confidence in those who seek our services. All of our products and services are backed by research and offer proven outcomes. Our specialty stems from plastic surgery therefore we have the luxury of being from the core of the aesthetics industry. As such, all expectations are higher and we must live up to them.
We are looking for our next team member. This individual will often times be the first impression of A Fine Line Aesthetics and therefore must represent our core values which ultimately stem from education and constant professional development ensuring safety and impeccable outcomes. The candidate will be self-motivated, individuals who take ownership, enjoy accountability, are flexible, innovative and team contributors. They enjoy being busy, able to multi-task and do so elegantly. They will be people who want feedback for self development and will want to take part, and take pride in, the overall growth of our entity. These individuals will look beyond their own job descriptions to help their team members when needed and will do so happily.
The ideal candidates will be impeccable communicators who are not easily intimidated by demands and are able to navigate different personalities without taking it personally or becoming emotionally distracted. They will enjoy taking care of themselves and representing themselves well on a regular basis. They will take every opportunity available to learn and better themselves and their skills. Individuals who can be flexible and creative in navigating potentially challenging situations and those who are able to put the needs of others before their own convenience. At A Fine Line Aesthetics we show up before opening time to ensure everyone is ready for a great day and lastly we ensure all needs are met before closing.
While we love to detail all the qualities of an ideal team member there are also some amazing people who may not be an ideal fit in our environment. Those individuals prefer working alone, may not like to offer flexibility in scheduling (to accommodate occasional after hour events, attending occasional local parties, manufacturer events, etc), have many personal commitments that may interfere with the work day. Individuals who don’t enjoy planning and attending events may not enjoy our type of work. Those who are not comfortable being flexible or require spelled out instructions of tasks may not enjoy the expectation of self guided responsibility. Individuals who simply want to show up and follow a check list will not thrive well in our fast paced, ever evolving environment.
A Fine Line Aesthetics is heavily involved in education in aesthetics as well. Our founder, Zainab Jishi, MS, PA-C is faculty of Allergan Medical Institute, the division of Allergan Aesthetics that is responsible for representing and training other medical professionals and how to perform aesthetic injectable treatments from the Allergan portfolio including Botox Cosmetic and the Juvederm family of fillers. Allergan Aesthetics is the largest manufacturer of aesthetic injectables in the world. In addition, Zainab is a Clinical Educator for the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy PA programs teaching PA students who are interested in the field of aesthetics through allowing them to complete their elective rotations with her.
Although some experience in aesthetics is preferred, it is not required. We believe if you are passionate, possess a strong work ethic and enjoy being part of an energetic team that shares a common vision then we will be able to provide you all the tools for success.
